A pyrometer, also known as a digital thermocouple thermometer, is used to check the surface temperature of objects such has socket fusion faces. Geo-Flo recommends the use of a pyrometer to ensure that the socket fusion faces are within the acceptable range of 490°-510°F. Features of this tool include:
- Dual-channel allows two readings simultaneously for delta-T (differential temperature) measurements
- Accepts Type K or J thermocouples. Our TTDT1 kit includes (1) PN 5208 Type K flat probe for measuring socket face temperatures
- Ambient temperature measurement
- Upper and lower temperature limit alarms
- Adjustable temperature compensation to allow calibration to a known temperature
- Auto power off
- Battery powered (3X AAA); included in TTDT1 kit
- Selectable units (°F or °C)
