Geo-Flo is transitioning all flow centers that utilize our Flo-Link XL design to modular assemblies. These modular assemblies break down the relatively large and heavy components of these Flo-Link XL flow centers into more manageable, easier to install pieces that also provide more options for installation. The Magna3 flow centers released in 2020 (Figure 1) provide an example of this modular design. This change allows us to provide more products that are easier to install while also controlling inventory levels.
Effective immediately, PN 1237 UPS60-150 SuperBrute XL flow center will utilize this new design (Figure 2). The updated FLXL design utilizes the same Flo-Link XL double O-ring adapters and Grundfos UPS60-150 3-speed pumps as the 1237 and is a good solution for 6 to 10 ton ground loop systems.
A new flow center, the FLXL1D, is also available immediately. This one-pump UPS60-150 Flo-Link XL flow center is useful in high flow, low head applications such as ground loops with large circuit piping. It is also a good solution between the heat pump and buffer tank on large (10 to 12 ton) water-to-water systems. Note that the insulated pump portion of this flow center can be purchased alone (PN 1360) if the 3-way flush valves are not needed, or if a FLXL1D needs to be updated to a FLXL2D.
Note that the VersaFlo line of Flo-Link XL flow centers will also transition to this full modular design as inventory levels of components are depleted.
