The NP series Dual Circuit flow center (NPD) is specifically designed for applications with two geothermal heat pumps sharing a common ground loop heat exchanger. The NPD saves installation time and cost by eliminating the need for external T’s, additional piping, check valves, and controls. The NPD incorporates flushing valves into the flow center so that the ground loop may be flushed without adding external flush ports. Flo-Link™ double O-ring transition fittings are available for most any application (PE fusion, PEX, tapered pipe thread, etc.) and must be selected separately*. Top or side connections to the ground loop add even more flexibility. Simply connect the ground loop to the 3-way valves at the top of the flow center (side or top connections) and the heat pumps to the side connections. The pump(s) on each circuit is energized only when that circuit’s heat pump is running. There is no easier method available on the market today for two-unit installations.

* NOTE: Flo-Link adapters are required for the NPD flow center. Due to the variety of installation methods, these adapters are not included and must be purchased separately. Some installers choose to use a flexible hose kit between the NPD and heat pumps. Our 1181, 1354, 1346 and 1347 hose kits are acceptable solutions; the kit selected will depend on the connection at the geothermal heat pump and how the installer choses to route the hose. For HDPE connections from the ground loop heat exchanger supply/return piping to the NPD, we recommend part number 2911: 1-1/4″ HDPE Socket Fusion X Flo-Link (if you are using larger supply/return piping, transition to the larger size from the 2911 immediately).
