Geo-Flo’s chamfer tools are a combination pipe chamfering tool and depth gauge that allow the installer to add a lead-in chamfer (i.e. bevel) to the front of the polyethylene pipe and then set the proper fusion depth on the pipe. The chamfer enables the pipe to be more easily inserted into the fusion faces and fittings during the fusion process. After chamfering, the cold ring tool is locked behind the chamfer/depth gauge to set the fusion depth.
Geo-Flo manufactures these chamfer tools on our precision CNC equipment in accordance with ASTM F1056 to be used with IPS pipe sizes from 3/4″ to 2″. Each tool size includes a colored dot that corresponds to the colors of our cold ring tools allowing easy selection and training of new operators. We also designed the tools to allow a 1/4″ bolt to be attached thereby allowing it to be driven by a hand drill if desired. The replaceable blade (TCGB) is fully compatible with Wheeler-Rex chamfer tools (30050 1/2″ IPS, 30075 3/4″ IPS, 30100 1″ IPS, 30125 1 1/4″ IPS, 30150 1 1/2″IPS, 30200 2″ IPS) These innovative features make the Geo-Flo’s “Made in Indiana, USA” chamfer tools the best in the market.
